  • Responsibilities

    This is a non-exempt/hourly position.  Non-exempt employees categorized as Full-time generally work 37.5 hours per week.

     

    Summary: Designs, tests and implements new operational procedures affecting the Retail Division. Follows established processes for reviewing procedures (Business Unit Monitoring Process) and identifies the need for revising existing procedures. Monitors various operational activities to identify areas for process improvement. Assists in correcting operational inefficiencies discovered in the department. Responsible for monitoring and tracking various regulatory related activities.

    Essential Functions:

    • Designs, tests, tracks, and implements Retail operational procedures relating to best practice.  
    • Writes and/or revises Retail operational documentation including, but not limited to, procedures, electronic forms and reference material.
    • Communicates with various departments on proposed changes to operational procedures to ensure the applicable changes are appropriate and best practices are utilized for the affected areas.
    • Communicates new and revised procedures to appropriate Retail branch staff.
    • Monitors various operational activities to identify areas for process improvement. Determines solutions and makes recommendations to management as appropriate.
    • Monitors and tracks activities of regulatory concern.
    • Coordinates the process of correcting operational inefficiencies discovered in the department. Creates appropriate reports and spreadsheets documenting the correction process.  
    • Annually reviews of Retail procedure documents (Business Unit Monitoring Program).
    • Participates on project teams relating to rollout of products, services, equipment, and procedural changes as assigned. Involved in testing, configuration, and coordination of new software release and hardware implementation. Maintains compliance with established processes during project lifespan.
    • Identifies training needs and provides training to Retail staff for project implementation and process improvements.
    • Responsible for updates to various databases; creates and updates reports, and completes daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
    • Resources to branch staff for trouble shooting balancing and reporting issues.
    • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
    • Must be able to clearly convey and articulate thoughts, ideas and/or processes
    • Must possess a thorough attention to detail, especially when developing policy and procedure
    • 3 or more years of bank operations experience, with knowledge of bank products, services and software
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

     

    Requirements for performing Essential Functions:

    On the job the employee may physically be required to bend, sit, stand, walk, use finger movements, reach above shoulder level, and/or handle objects (manual dexterity). On the job the employee must mentally be able to read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason, and analyze.
