  • Responsibilities

    Summary: Reviews transactions and other information utilizing existing internal reports, database queries, systems, software tools, and other resources in order to identify possible fraud. 

    Essential Functions:

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions.

    • Analyzes fraud data and recommends policy and/or procedural changes based on analysis of trends and other findings as assigned.
    • Monitors reports to identify high-risk and potentially fraudulent accounts and/or transactions.
    • Makes recommendations to Electronic Fraud Manager to freeze or close account and place or remove restrictions based on account activity and transaction characteristics.
    • Monitors internal network activity for unauthorized network access attempts. Reports abuse to Electronic Fraud Manager.
    • Researches and collects data for law enforcement agencies.
    • Responds to ad hoc data requests and reports for Loss Prevention department.
    • Mointor existing, new, and emerging criminal trends as they relate to the financial industry.
    • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
    • Strong analytical skills. Strong attention to detail;
    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years experience in Information Technology, Loss Prevention, and/or Banking;
    • Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent work experience.

    Requirements for performing Essential Functions:

    On the job the employee may physically be required to sit, stand, walk, use finger movements, and/or handle objects (manual dexterity). On the job the employee must mentally be able to read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason, and analyze.
