  • Responsibilities

    Summary:  Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the Operations department.  Analyzes ways to streamline operations for optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness.

     

    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for the overall productivity of management in each area of the Operations department. Ensures department and bank wide goals are met.
    • Responsible for final hiring, advancement opportunities, salary administration, escalated disciplinary actions, career development, performance appraisals, and terminations.
    • Assesses operations for optimal efficiency and implements regulation changes on a continuous basis.
    • Identifies and implements objectives in each area of Operations. Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
    • Identifies training needs, and administers effective personnel action to management in the operational areas.
    • Develops and implements policies and procedures for the Operations Department.
    • Ensures staff compliance with policies and procedures, regulations, and department goals.
    • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
    • Excellent analytical skills. Strong attention to detail;
    • Diversified background with strong business and managerial skills including demonstrated capacity to provide leadership, coaching, and staff development opportunities;
    • Ability to establish and maintain team-focused and effective working environment;
    • Minimum of 7 years banking experience with a focus on operations;
    • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalent work experience.

    Note:  Salary grade level may be a 9 or 10, dependent upon candidate qualificationsl.

     

    Requirements for performing Essential Functions:

    On the job, the employee may physically be required to bend, sit, use finger movements, and/or handle objects (manual dexterity).  On the job the employee must mentally be able to read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason, analyze, and multi-task.
