  • Responsibilities

    This is a non-exempt/hourly position. Non-exempt employees categorized as Full Time generally work 37.5 hours per week.

    Summary: Maintains control of the safe deposit vault which includes allowing customers to access their box and logging transactions on a computer among other duties. Provides a positive contact between customers, prospects, and bank personnel. May perform clerical duties for the branch and other assigned projects as needed.

    Essential Functions:

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions.

    • Opens and/or closes new accounts on safe deposit boxes and performs file maintenance.
    • Enables customers to access safe deposit box and logs the necessary information on the computer following established bank policies and procedures.
    • Collects rent and past dues on safe deposit boxes and sends reminder letters as needed. Assists in the safe deposit box monthly audits.
    • Handles safe deposit box inquires and actively cross sells bank products.
    • Greets customers and prospects and directs them to the appropriate branch personnel. May answer branch phone and directs or relays messages as needed.
    • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of bank policy and procedures, within the scope of their job, to ensure compliance.
    • Sorts and distributes incoming/outgoing mail as needed.
    • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Basic computer skills;
    • Good verbal and written communication skills;
    • Good customer service skills.

     Preferred Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    Requirements for performing Essential Functions:

    On the job, the employee may physically be required to bend, sit, use finger movements, and/or handle objects (manual dexterity). The position requires good eyesight and hearing, and frequent operation of a motorized vehicle. On the job the employee must mentally be able to read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason, analyze, and multi-task.
