  • Responsibilities

     

    Summary:  Responsible for any necessary file maintenance on customer accounts including but not limited to name and address changes, account type changes, safe deposit box updates and returned mail.

    Essential Functions:

     

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions.

    • Accurately updates customer name and address records.
    • Conducts file maintenance on deposit accounts and account closings.
    • Completes maintenance on CD’s and IRA’s and validation of proper account closings for CD’s and IRA’s.
    • Calculate and remit Lawyers Trust Fund interest.
    • Works closely with retail banking staff to resolve any issues or requests.
    • Accurately updates contact information for online banking customers.
    • Reviews all updates to customer records on a daily basis including new account review.
    • Provides feedback to Retail Managers and retail banking staff on review findings. Suggests improvements to file maintenance process as needed.
    • Assists with deposit tax corrections for all 1099-Ints, 1099-Misc forms, 1099-Rs for IRAs/HSAs, and 5498’s for IRAs/HSAs.
    • Calculate and updates IRA Required Minimum Distributions.
    • Reviews all returned mail and investigates customer record to ensure proper address is on file.
    • Complies with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
    • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
    • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills;
    • Strong organizational skills. Strong attention to detail;
    • Minimum 1 year experience handling file maintenance in a bank setting;
    • High school diploma or equivalent.

     

    Requirements for performing Essential Functions:

    On the job the employee may physically be required to bend, sit, stand, walk, use finger movements, reach above shoulder level, and/or handle objects (manual dexterity).  On the job the employee must mentally be able to read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason, and analyze.
